Seahawks v Saints Tailgate Toy Drive
Monday Night Football in Seattle. Lake City Holiday Project, Hut! Hut!
Whether its 1st down or 3rd and long yardage, Humberto M (pictured, right) has been a great supporter of the Seahawks AND the Lake City Holiday Project. Along with folks from the Emerald City Law Group, their tailgating experience proved productive for the Lake City Holiday Project. Crazy fun, thank you and great game Seahawks.

Lake City Emblem Club donates to LCHP
On December 2, 2013 the Lake City Emblem Club donated new toys to the Lake City Holiday Project at their yearly holiday gathering. The contact for this kind gesture, Marian T. reaches out each year to Meadowbrook Community CARE and see's that children in need are helped by this wonderful organization. The President, (pictured) Mitzi G, introduced me and LCHP to the group. Not only did I witness their kindness and get to share the LCHP story but I also got to catch the end of the Seahawk vs Saints game they were watching. Go Seahawks! Go Lake City Emblems!
The national Emblem Club claims over 200 clubs strong. The Lake City effort began in 1981 and are counted among 16 other state clubs. With their beginnings originating from the Elks organization, here is a short descriptive of the Emblem Club (on the Emblem website) and their very early history: Thank you, ladies.
A small group of Elk’s ladies began meeting together in 1917 to wrap bandages for World War I. They enjoyed the sociability, and at the same time felt the joy of accomplishment. The combination of assisting others and enjoying good fellowship appealed to other women, and a community group came together.
